TimeCellar was developed by Speedspan, TimeCellar (then Spansafe) was created in 2004 to anticipate the need for archival storage of digital documents with easy and shareable access like a bank safety deposit box during the age of paper. Versions of Spansafe have been in use since 2005 and have been modified to create today's complete digital file preservation and management solution.
